Beacon of Light Association (BeLA) is a grass root development, non-profit and nonpartisan organization founded and run by like-minded professionals who are passionate and dedicated to improving the lives of destitute and vulnerable women and youths. BeLA is a grant seeker (not a grant maker yet) with headquarters in Bamenda and governed by Cameroon law No:90/053 of 19th December 1990. Founded in 2016, BeLA obtained her legal authorization in April 2019 following Registration No: 32/E.29/1111/VOL.8/ALPAS

Our Mission: The Beacon of Light Association (BeLA) is dedicated to the restoration of psychological well-being for all individuals. We believe that mental health is a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for a functional society. Our MHPSS program offers a safe, neutral, and highly professional environment where individuals can address life’s most difficult emotional and psychological challenges. We utilize evidence-based clinical protocols to support recovery from trauma, stress, and chronic mental health conditions, ensuring that every person—regardless of their background or circumstances—receives the highest standard of care. Who We Serve: BeLA provides a sanctuary for any individual seeking to improve their mental health. Our services are open to: Individuals dealing with severe stress, anxiety, or depression. Survivors of trauma, accidents, or personal loss. Those navigating the psychological impact of displacement or social instability. Professionals and caregivers suffering from burnout and secondary trauma. Any person requiring specialized forensic psychological documentation for official proceedings.
